MAPLE VANILLA POPCORN

12.07.2018

Maple vanilla popcorn. Does it sound fancy to you? It definitely does to us! Serve your guests this maple vanilla popcorn on any special occasion and don't tell them it was that easy to make. Or devour the whole batch by yourself whilst watching Bridget Jones's Diary for the fifteenth time, because that's exactly what we'll be doing. Perhaps share some freshly popped corn with the two men in your life, Ben and Jerry. In exchange for their ice cream, of course.

PREP TIME: 5 minutes // SERVINGS: 1 or 3 (probably one though) // MEAL: snacks

INGREDIENTS

- 1/3 cup popcorn kernels
- 1/4 cup maple syrup (or any other liquid sweetener)
- 1tsp vanilla extract
- pinch of salt

STEP-BY-STEP

1. Pop the kernels either in the microwave or on the hob, or any way of preference. We like to pop ours in the microwave by pouring the kernels in a bowl and place the lid on halfway, add a spinkle of water and heat for 3 to 5 minutes on 1000W.
2. In a bowl, mix together the maple syrup and vanilla.
3. Pour the sweetener over the popcorn and mix well. Then sprinkle on the salt.

Sidenote: the popcorn will soften the longer you set it sit, so serve right away.
